Our standards

Incorporating the British EYFS framework, we will work from your child's current development stage to cater to their personal needs. We seek to cultivate good behaviour and cooperation amongst the children, foster sensitivity towards others and their feelings, and work hard to develop every child's self-esteem and confidence. Whilst our nursery will comply with all of the local regulations, we also strictly adhere to both the British Framework for registration (monitored by ‘Ofsted’).

10 benefits of enrolling your child into a high quality practise like ours

For many children, preschool is their first experience in a structured setting with teachers and groups of children. It's an opportunity to learn to share, follow instructions and begin the foundation for learning that will occur in primary/elementary school. Below are some of the benefits children gain when attending nursery and also the reason behind the high demand for high quality nurseries in Doha.

We prepare your child for kindergarten.

As kindergarten becomes more outcome demanding, parents look to preschool to launch their child on the path to success in school. In Doha today, many of the reputable schools will now no longer accept children unless they have been to nursery.

We promote your child’s social and emotional development.

In order to learn, a young child needs to feel cared for and secure with a teacher or caregiver. High-quality nursery programs nurture warm relationships among children, teachers and parents allowing young children learn social skills and emotional self-control in “real time.”

We foster your child’s language skills and cognitive ability.

Preschool-age children’s language skills are nurtured in a “language-rich” environment. In the early years, a child’s vocabulary grows from 0 to 2,500 words. In a conversational manner, teachers are highly skilled in helping children stretch their language skills by asking thought-provoking questions and introducing new vocabulary through many tasks. A young child’s cognitive skills are strengthened by engaging in a wide range of hands-on activities that challenge them to observe closely, ask questions, test ideas or solve a problem.

We provide opportunities to develop your child’s motor skills.

Well planned experiences enable development in physical coordination, allowing children to explore their environment and challenge themselves in new ways. Young children are in motion for a good part of the day. Therefore a high-quality nursery program provides several opportunities to foster children’s gross motor skills, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and balance.

We boost pre-math and literacy skills.

To prepare children for the academic demands of kindergarten, we offer a wide variety of games and activities to help children acquire the pre-math and literacy skills. To sustain children’s excitement and motivation for learning, high quality nursery programs introduce early literacy and math skills not as isolated exercises, but in the context of activities that are interesting and meaningful to children.

We encourage your child to make choices.

The ability to make choices is an important skill in early childhood and builds on the independence of a child. Therefore child led and teacher-led-child-focussed activities are key in our nursery. Skilled teachers and well planned experiences, centred around individual interests, teach children to make choices and the significance of those choices.

We teach your child to take care of themselves and others.

A child’s sense of competence and self-worth grow as they learn to take care of themselves and help others. Throughout their school years, much of children’s learning will take place in the company of their peers. In a high-quality nursery programs, children are introduced to the behaviours required to function successfully in a classroom or other social setting.

We nurture your child’s curiosity.

We use children’s interests and ideas to create activities that nurture their curiosity and motivation to learn. Preschool age children have active imaginations and learn through imaginative play. Teachers know that the line between reality and fantasy is often not clear to a young child. But imagination also fuels learning and our teachers are a vital resource in promoting this.

Our nursery environments are structured although it may not appear that way.

A highly structured environment helps young children learn to make friends and play well with others. This doesn’t mean there are lots of rules or that adults constantly direct children’s activities. On the contrary, the structure of a high quality nursery classroom is largely invisible to children. Classroom space is organized to encourage social interaction, and minimize congestion and conflicts.

We work from your child’s current ability – not from a prescribed notion of where they should be.

Children develop at their own age in their own time. No one child is the same, therefore we think it is pointless treating every child’s development in the same manner. It is important to us that we nurture and promote what your child can do and has the ability of developing. Focussing and stressing about aspects of development that they will grasp over time is not as useful as celebrating the development they currently show.
